I have a page talking about the games I already have, so this is where I'm going to talk about games I haven't played, or specific aspects of the games I have played, and other media of the Pokémon franchise as a whole, like the anime.
I don't give a shit about Dexit! I'm sure most of you know, but Dexit was basically fans getting pissed off when Gamefreak announced that they would not include a National Poké dex in Sword and Shield. And I'm like... who cares...? You can still transfer your old Pokémon to those games. Hell they didn't even have a Nat. dex in Sun and Moon but you could still locate random Pokémon with a certain Pokédex/camera feature. That was how I once managed to find a wild Emboar in the Poni Wilds and how for a time you could catch Magearna. Besides that, until recently I didn't care about catching Pokémon that weren't introduced in that region. So in AS I only cared about Gen 3, in Gens 7 and 8 I only cared about catching the new Pokémon (except Graninja and Zygarde, but I think Ash-Greninja and Zygarde's forms count as new Pokémon), including regional variants. Admittedly this wasn't always the case because I did use Fletchinder for a while in Sun when I caught one on Akala Island, and I used to always add Jolteon to my team the first chance I could. But for the most part, I believe in using new Pokémon. I did give up on that in Violet because I really wanted to use Talonflame, and it was the first game I ever got that I could use Houndoom and Donphan in. And I'll probably also give it up for future games, including older games I ever get my hands so, because I have to admit, the Black 2 and White 2 trailer made using a Lucario in Unova look awesome, and there's plenty of Johto Pokémon (and some Gen 1 and a few Gen 3 monsters) that got cool evolutions in Sinnoh, meaning there's a solid number of Pokémon that are perfect for all five Gen 4 games! Even then, I only care about getting all the Pokémon available to you in one game, and I have a hell of a time doing that! I don't care about filling the whole dex anymore, as great as that would be. Plus if you want to transfer your old Pokemon to your new games you can, with or without a National Dex. For my purposes, I don't need to, I would just like to.
